Theres a gun shop in town that has a K98 on the shelf for $300. I'd like to be reasonably sure its a genuine K98. On the left side of the reciever next to the bolt is written Prezusse? or something beginning with the letter "P". I wish I had a picture. If there was a page on the net I could probably look it up. Any good pages to look this up? Thanks

As timdps pointed out, if it is a K98k it has been rebuilt by the Yugoslavians
Revolvers are not pistols
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel

No matter what, every time I look at that word I see 'prejudice'. Is that crazy or what?
Other Yugo models also have that word so you need to know the difference between the K98k and m/24, 24/47, 24/47/52, m/48.
I own one of the Yugo'fied & de'nazi'fied K98k with the 'prejudice' marking. The original German mfg code and year made were removed and replaced with the Yugo commie crest. As such, to my way of thinking, it is no longer a viable collectible. But it is a fine rifle otherwise.
My hand drill and some crazy glue made it mo'better...
