OK, long story short, I have a 91/30 that I slapped into an ATI monte carlo stock. I also opted to get the ati bent bolt conversion kit and weaver rail mount.
all was going great until I messed up when installing the scope. The instructions call to drill out 2 holes on the barrell end (not in firing chamber; just where the bolt slides). I drilled, tapped and mounted the rail and scope.
The problem? I messed up and the scope's offset by a degree or 2. What are my options for fixing this issue? Can I carefully have holes filled with tig filler rod? If so, can I redrill? I need to redrill a couple of millimeters off, so I'm curious if this will cause an issue...
Thoughts?
Thanks
