    Question regarding logging DROS purchases

I saw a an Mosin Nagant M44 in a shop this weekend. If I were to purchase the rifle, I would have to go through the DROS and 10 day wait period, but would I still be required to log it into my C&R log book since it is more than 50 years old? Or is it exempt from being logged since I would not utilize my c&r license in the transaction?
Life is like having a map with precise directions and exact stops, you find out that your directions and stops change as you progress further down your original map.

Expanding on this just a little...any C&R you acquire after your license is issued has to be noted in your bound book...makes no difference if you C&R'd the gun, DROS'd it, found it, etc. Same with any C&R you dispose of.

Did you read the packet of stuff the ATF sent you??

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

you don't USE your license, you ARE licensed. federal law requires you to log any C&R transactions that occur WHILE you are licensed.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
