The rifling is super sharp and i got 440 rounds in a spam can from ammo bros for 100 bucks. same price as the gun too. all in all, a good deal. Im taking it out to rockpile for a test drive. yee haw.

If it can be shown definitively that it is over 50 years old (mfg. 1959 or before), then it's good to go as a C&R (with the usual caveats about full-auto, evil CA features, etc.).

I know that some 22 rifles didn't have serial numbers back before 1968, so if the model of the rifle spans the 50-year age limit, then it may or may not be considered C&R. Which model Ruger is it? (Also, is it a rifle or pistol?)

The only Ruger firearm chambered in .22Mag 50 years ago was the Single Six revolver. Any serial number between 300001 and 305543 should have been made in 1959 and would be C&R.

Yeah its a Ruger 22 mag pistol, sometimes called a "Flathead" as the old sights
            are fixed sights.
Its been a great pistol, I got it when I was a kid of 12 years old.
I think my Dad had to sign for it maybe, I don't remember.
I worked all summer to get the "$65.00" to buy it. That's the best I can remember.
Anyway still got it, and I live in California now for 30 years.

Thanks for the help guys ! Robin47
