CMP M1 Garand - Naked Dane is here.

This arrived this morning. Overall very please. Barrel and reciever are a match for Dec 1943 and I got Lock bar sights. I'm very pleased to have another awesome piece of history!

Wow, what luck! You have lock-bar sights and a Beretta (PB) bolt! Too bad that these aren't available from CMP anymore.

Are you going to countersink or re-crown the muzzle (that is if you want a shooter)? It looks pretty worn w/ the bullet-check.

I think I'll barrow the furniture off my Service Grade for a day just to check everything out before I think about counter boring etc. With an original barrel, I'm going to be pretty cautious about too much alteration or just go all they way and get it rebarreled and reparked but that will have to wait until more $$ comes my way.
Then there's those pesky carbines that are coming out on the 30th... Those will definately have to wait, at least until the IBMs are released.
