I got an excellent m24/47 from Classic Arms (www.classicarms.us) and paid $209 plus shipping. Very happy with the rifle I received. The very good is $179. Just another option to consider since you"ll have to pay CA tax+DROS and wait 10 days. I got mine in about 5 days. If you can get it for $129 that's a great price and I'd wait.

EDIT op didn't specify if he had his C&R license, sorry I just assumed. Might as well just wait for the sale and save $$ for ammo.

I paid $300 OTD for mine at Big 5 a summer ago. Then lo and behold, within the next month 2 - 3 24/47s popped up on the FS forum.

      fail.

Several days later the bolt was rusted shut but I guess the fouling wasnt TOO bad.

I bought a few when they were only $79 just a few years ago. I have since sold all of them to have the nice varmint rifle I have now.

I bought one at Big 5 when they were on sale for $179 +10% off and it still cost me in the neighborhood of %260 OTD. I figured it I were to do it again i wold go through J&G, they have them for $179 and you just pay shipping.....with C&R
