Turkish M1893 Mauser

I bought a cheapy shotgun off of gunbroker from some home FFL dealer and took an hour out of my day driving out to his house. While there, he offered up this really rough conditioned 8mm Turk Mauser for $30.00, so I took it. I got bored at work today and decided to strip it down, sandblast the metal, and parkerize it. I'm not a bubba, it was in such rough shape and rusted all over that I feel anyone would've restored it, bubba or not.

Anyway, I see Yugo & Romanian 8mm surplus ammo for sale on classicarms. Does anyone know if this ammo will work with my Mauser?

Also another question. Does anyone know where I could find a stock for it or which mauser stocks interchange? The rear crossbolt is so rusted out that you can't even see through the hole in the center. The buttstock has a large rusted groove in it, there's two giant cracks in the stock/handguard, the butt end looks and feels like it sat in a tub of used motor oil of 50 years, and the handguard is obviously from another rifle.

I use 8MM surplus in my Turkish Mauser and my K98 and works perfectly but I got mine from ammo to go.

Romanian surplus is your best bet. The rifle is a 100yr old small ring Mauser that's already been abused. Romy is lower pressure than Turk or Yugo surplus, and it's light ball. Won't beat the gun, and won't beat the shooter.
