    mosin sling question

    Hello,

I recently acquired two m91/30's and an M44 this past weekend. The 91/30 came with the accessories including slings. The M44 did not. My question is are there physical differences between a sling intended for the 91/30 and an M44 or is the same sling used for both?

    thanks,

I think they use the same sling. Maybe you can ask the store you got-em from about the stuff for the M44.

I have the accessory kits for both and the sling in my 91/30 kit is longer.

        True M44 slings were shorter.

The Soviets used many slings on their weapons during the war though. Everything from 91/30 to emergency slings (essentially narrow straps of webbing with rough-hewn pig leather sewn on to the ends. These fastened with leather laces) to PPSh-41 and PPS-43 slings.

hmmm, ok. anyone know where I can get the correct sling? I bought all 3 rifles from Cabelas and the M44 was off the "used" rack and didn't come with any accessories.

I bought some Mosin carbine-length slings from this guy, he might still have some http://forums.gunboards.com/showthre...M44-M38-Slings

Another possibility: call and see if they have the shorter carbine-length slings http://rguns.net/other.shtml#MNSLING
            Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

I bought several from Rick Reich. You won't find them cheaper anywhere. Just be warned that he may take up to a month to ship them to you.
