    DOJ must be really backed up...

    Last october, i drove out to arizona and picked up a CZ-52 while visiting my sister. When i came back, i sent off my $19 and little form to the DOJ...

    yesterday i recieved a letter from the DOJ saying that it's now registered in my name. 6 months to do a background check and register the damn thing? either things are WAY backed up, or they didn't know what that little form they recieved was...

      They were a bit slow getting my COE too. However, I'm willing to speculate with my tinfoil hat that they really didn't want to issue it to me...

              Probably. My COE took something like 3 weeks.

                  Hmm. I went to J&G in July and they had mine back within a month or so. Funny though, they sure are quick to deposit the check!

                          A sure sign of this, is that every time they speak or issue a memo, only crap comes out.

                              DOJ treats me like VIP. I mailed 2 forms in late Dec and got the Receipt Confirmation yesterday. It only took 4 months.

                              DOJ has a funny system regarding the caliper:
                              7.62mm = 0762
                              9mm = 0009

                              It seems I own a 0.09mm or 0.09" caliper pistol on their record.

                                  DOJ is backed up. I sent off C & R forms last year, check was cashed in November, no word for 3 months. I then put in a call, and was told the lady who did C & R's was sick, and there was a mound of applications waiting on her desk, mine included. Then, they didn't know if they cashed my check or not, or get any of my forms, so I had to refill the forms and send out proof that I paid them. Apparently my license got shipped today, woo hoo.

                                          There are so many govmint agencies I get all mixed up. Yeah, well the ATF is backed up for the reasons I stated above.
