    Mosin Repair question

I recently acquired a Chinese T53. It was filthy, cosmoline everywhere. While I was cleaning it I managed to snap the trigger spring in half. No big deal, I have a spare - except I can not get the damn screw out. Tried penetrating oil for a week as well as heat. I have a feeling I probably making it worse now. The screw head is tweaked. I don't want to drill it out myself because I know I'll F it up.

Anyone have any other suggestions or would I just be better off taking it to a smith?

If it goes to the smith, how much would something like that typically run?
    I'm thinking $25-$40?

    Thanks

    More than it's worth.
Keep soaking it with penetrating oil, and tap the screw head with a hammer between applications, it'll come loose.

An impact driver is the milsurp shooter and motorcyclist's best friend.
