    IMP/Op-Rod/Data/M1 Garand

    Gentlemen,
Here are three files that deal with the op-rod. One think I find of interest is that as SA is building the FIRST Rifles they are using a SUB-CONTRACTOR for the Important part of the op-rod??? Read on and there is data on the CRITICAL ITEMS I hope you find this data of interest. What do you guys think about these files??

Some data has been posted before others have not.

Check my sites if you have the time. TIA

    Thanks again

Are you digging this up as newly found documents, or is this stuff that you just have stacked in your collection?

Whats wrong with outsourcing to a sub contractor. If another company can do things better than you can, outsourcing is fine. The secret is to managing your contractors properly to get what you contracted for.

        facinating!!

        thanks Clancy.
am assuming at that point in time(1937) they were still in prototyping stages and thus the outsourced secondary ops.

          Gentlemen,
I have getting this data for over 30 years. These files are from the National Archives, SA, APG. I have written two books and I have a CD of old Ordnance footage of the M1 Garands being made. I still have data to go into. MY books Coverf files from 1920 to 1939 right now.
          Thanks again
