I was looking for the folding stock.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...Springfield Armory Inc.'s name choice for their M14 clone was unfortunate. About 25% of the guys at the range with M1A's seem to call them M1A1's, even the Marines!

            True!

He has the finest collection of German K43A's and Enfield No.4 MkT's I've ever seen.

So what? I call it what I want.

On the papers with this it's called M-21. But then that was in 1981. What where you collecting in 1981?

              Cheers

                  GI1 Joes

I put a scope on mine, I was going to take it pig hunting. Until I found out it weighed ~ 13 pounds loaded.

sigh - nice rifle!! reminds me of the early 80's supermatch I had 10 years ago - got it for $700 with 6 mags...... not a 100% sure why I sold it

probably for the same reason I sold my lnib Colt AR15A2 R6500 that I got at National Guns for $499.95 in 1985....
                        Seriously missing the 80's.....

I'm so dumb, I had a Devine TX M1a with a s.n. below 300 and with a NM barrel; bought it for $250 in the mid 70s (a lot of money for a college student paying my way through school) and sold it to a buddy because I wanted to buy a used Bell Telephone van from a corner used car lot. I didn't buy the van and I didn't have the rifle anymore. I did get $500 for it when I sold it, I wonder what that would be in today's money The rifle always started a fuss at the range in the 70s since M1As were pretty unknown. One range master accused me of having a stolen M14 from the Army and was going to call the cops!
