    Questions regarding CMP sales

I would like to purchase a garand form CMP.

I have been told that joining the garand collectors association would make me eligible for a purchase. Are there anymore requirements, or can I purchase after my membership is verified by CMP?

why would you want to go and do that?

don't you know that they sell old obsolete rifles that have gunk and stuff on them?

They need ammo that might never be made ever again?

I would run away from this endevor of yours and look at new poodle-shooters or maybe take up ping-pong.

Wait, what? When was this? I'm an Eagle Scout and could have eliminated some fees by sending in my card...

I did that mid last Novemeber, they said since I was an Eagle Scout, it would cover my eligability and range requirements, I just had to talk to a few people at the CMP but they worked with me, and got me my Carbines
