Time for CMP purchase to arrive

What is the average time for a CMP rifle to arrive? I finally got all of my paperwork together and ordered one of the M1's before they run out.

The wait is going to kill me, I'm sure, but I was wondering what the average wait time is on one of these orders.

If you ordered a Greek Rack Grade, You should be prepaired to wait at least a month. Go to the cmp forum, there is plenty of discussion about lead time.

There is no "average" time. I got a Service grade M1 in about seven days from the day I dropped the letter in the mail box to the day the rifle was on my doorstep. I then got a 1903 in about three weeks. I know there are some guys who have had a Service grade on back order for many months.

Does it come with a manual? How to disassemble and maintain? Which parts gets lube... stuff like that? I just mailed mine today, and the carbine order coming up on April 29.

Yep, it will come with a basic manual...



But you can also get all the info you need online. With Garands you can actually just type in questions to the various online forums while you are working on the rifle and get real time answers from expert armorers.

Ordered a Greek rack grade 6 weeks ago. It arrived yesterday. Have not opened the box yet. Been too busy today at work. You will get an EMail after about 30 days confirming all the order info, then a few days later another EMail telling you that it was shipped and a tracking number so you can make arrangements for someone to be home to sign for it when it's delivered. Usually sent Fedex Next Day Air.
