What parts of a k98 bolt can be replaced without changing the current headspace? One of my k98s has a gritty feeling bolt. The ejector is heavily pitted and the bolt body itself is not as "clean" machined as my other one. FWIW the rifle in question is a bcd4 so maybe this all has to do with late war type machining and is normal, except for the pitted ejector obviously

Every part except the bolt body.Revolvers are not pistols
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel

Only the bolt affects headspace. All the other bolt parts can be changed out without affecting headspace.Comment
