    Turk Gew88

I just picked up a Turkish Gew88 it's marked 1938 and from my research it's been re barreled to accept 1930's era ammo. So I was wondering what sort of ammo should I use in it as I also read US commercial ammo is the only safe ammo to use in it. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Moderate loads are best for this old action. I have one dated 1941. I shoot 150gr bullets at about 2,500 fps.

Be careful of some of the surplus 8mm out there. They are a lot hotter than loadings from WWII. I have some original 1888's I pieced back together. I hand load for them and keep the power down to about 2000 fps. I don't want to have one blow up on me.
