How Long to wait after sending out my C&R copies to dealers?

I've sent in my signed copies of C&R license to various dealers (Classic Arms, SOG, Century Arms, J&G to name a few) - do I contact them with request for logins or sit patiently and wait until they reply and confirm receipt of a license?

I sent a license copy to Midway and they set me up with a dealer account without notifying me - I just found "Dealer Homepage" button a week later upon sign-in. That got me thinking that I should contact the dealers directly - especially, the internet dealers that don't give prices without a sign in... If dealing with a place like J&G - should I place an order and notify them that they should have my license on file or in their In-Box?

I'm a jumpy Californian - $69 dollar Mosins and $100 dollar Enfields are unheard to me...

I'd say the best approach if you want to buy something from one of the internet dealers-- J&G, Classic, etc-- is to give them a call and make sure they have a copy of your C&R. They'll probably ask for your zip code, look in their files for a few minutes, and then let you know they have it. Then you tell them what you want to buy and wait impatiently for UPS to show up.

Century should eventually send you an e-mail with your login info. An e-mail or phone call may speed things up. I contacted them after about 2 weeks to get the login.

    Good luck with your shopping.

I would give them a week (or however long their website tells you to wait), then bug POLITELY until you get what you need...

My standard protocol is to call after a week and ask them to verify that they received a copy of my C&R. They are usually happy to do it and some don't even look at it until you call.

Century takes a couple weeks to process it into their system but if you are antsy you can call and bug someone to go pull yours out of the pile if you need to order some rifles ASAP.

Yep, that's what my sales rep there told me to do ... worked just fine.

Much thanks - followed "squeaky wheel gets the oil" approach and got as many confirmations as inquiries
