    M48 Mauser bolt stuck

    i just took out the bolt to my M48 mauser and it was in the firing position. now i can neither put the bolt back or take the bolt apart. any suggestions?

      the bolt is out of the rifle, and it will not go back in. i need to figure out how to turn the bolt from the firing position to safety while outside of the rifle.

                  +1 I thought I broke my first Mauser which was a 24/47. I was freaking out. Just recock the bolt, it'll go in.

                    A bit ago I had a 24/47 shipped to me and the bolt came in the fired position, freaked me out, but it takes like 30 seconds to fix.

                        I did that one time with my K98. I honestly don't know a mauser owner that hasn't done that at least once.
