yes, its a bolt ation rifle. No law aginst bolt action rifles with flash hiders, or folding stocks, or pistol grips, etc.where are my pistol mags? -
but they do get funny about grenade launchers i hear.Comment

I have one. If they pass a law against excessive recoil from a SMLE, then it will be illegal.

They look much better than they shoot. I've had one for 30+ years and shoot it maybe every 5 years; then I remember why I hadn't shot it the previous 4 years!Comment

Pretty brutal recoil. Wandering zero issue on some. Still, they look cool. I have a beater that I wouldn't get rid of.

Yep - shoot it with a recoil pad. Otherwise you will regret it. Also VERY loud.Comment

Loud, kicks like a mule, silly rubber butt pad that digs into your shoulder, and muzzle flash that lights up the night are all traits of the Mk5 Jungle carbine. Agreed, they do look cool, but I glad I was not issued one...Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots.
