Mosin Nagant 91/30 Crate Drawings On-line?

Are there any such drawings on-line to make crates for the 91/30 or 38 or 44's? I need to transport mine on a trip and want to make a crate.

    Thanks.

Maybe pullnshoot25 will loan you a crate. He just picked up 40 Mosins.
Did you get your pics of the M38's uploaded yet?

I just noticed that you are way up north. If I can get to Escondido[sp} soon I'll blueprint the crate for you.It holds 20 rifles.

      Blueprints

I am going to have to get photos to supplement this but this should quell most curiosities for about 1.5 hours

If anything seems amiss, do not hesitate to ask me and I will re-measure, photograph, etc. Seeing as how this project has never before been undertaken, I want to have this done right.

Also, if someone can sketch this puppy, that would be RAD.

      Here we go.

      INTERIOR DIMENSIONS

      51 1/4" L x 22 1/4"W x 12"D (13,616.1 cu in)

      INTERIOR DETAILS

At 7" and 9 5/8" from the front and back corners on the lengthwise portions are two small blocks of wood. The piece that is 7" in from each corner is 1.5"L x 3/4"W x 11.5"D (sits vertically) and the one piece that is 9 5/8" in from each corner is just 9 3/8"D.

At the bottom of the crate and adjacent to 7" spaced bracket piece (for lack of a better or more knowledgeable term) is a strip of wood that runs the width of the crate and is 1/2" tall and 3/4" wide.

Approx 1/16" gasket all around the lid.

Cosmoline paper lines the entire crate like old newspaper wallpaper and is nailed in behind all the wood on the inside of the crate.

I will get details on the rifle slots and detailed photos of the interior and exterior in a bit.

      CARRY ON!!
