Hello, Calguns,
Owing to a really bad situation, I'm having to consider selling some of our 'pet' old weapons.
Could someone who is knowledgeable please e-mail me or send a private message here, with a good opinion as to a fair (to both parties) price I could ask for our M1 carbine?
This one was from the DCM, back when they were selling them to NRA members.....but I doubt I could find the old paperwork for it.
Its a common or garden variety Inland (if I remember correctly....its not a Winchester, anyway), and in quite nice condition, presumably having been a 'mix-master' rebuild at some time, altho I don't know that for any certainty.
It has the sling, oiler, and bayonet. Some number of original mags (maybe ten-ish, or so, it will take me awhile to find them all) and some number....and some quantity of rounds, possibly 500-ish (I think) will go with the carbine.
I suppose I should explain the bit of vagueness above. That little carbine, with a quantity of loaded mags was one of the 'just in case' ready-duty weapons we had 'on hand' for the Y2K alleged riot situation.
We really thought that all the talk of riots was just 'scare' material, and, as we now know, Y2K was uneventful. At the time, tho......well, its best to be prepared for a worst-case scenario, right?
The little carbine has been at the back of the safe ever since.
Carla
