    collection idea

For my "man cave" wall at new place.
Basically a bolt action, sniper and semi auto in each of the main calibers that I already own.
So I'm starting with what I have:
    For 303 caliber: LE No.1 Mk3, LE No. 1 Mk 3 HT sniper, No4. Mk1, No.4 Mk1 'T', and I'll need a semi auto bren gun(nasty cost).
    For 7.62 NATO : Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1 DCRA, L42A1, and an L1A1 (FAL)

So here's where it gets difficult and possibly very pricey also.

7.62 x 54 : I have a M91/30 and I need a PE sniper, plus are there any semi autos in this caliber that are CA legal?

And I've pretty much got to have some 30-06 stuff and I have nothing, but i am thinking a model 1917, a springfiled 03, a garand and a sniper of one of the above. I heard of replica 03 snipers being new made? Any comments on these.

The Gibbs M1903A4 reproduction has gotten pretty good reviews http://www.gibbsrifle.com/1903-a4_sniper_rifle.html

Personally, I am going to save up for a real one. They aren't that rare, just expensive. The whole point, for me, of milsurp arms is the history associated with them. A reproduction doesn't have any history associated with it, in my opinion. I might as well just get a modern scoped rifle, it will shoot better for less money than the reproduction milsurp. Again, just my opinion.
    Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

      PSL 54C (not really C&R) or SVT-40

Just a few years since they were a complete failure in service for Russia's conscript army. Too complex and too many small parts to lose by the campfire or misplace while cleaning in sub zero conditions. The 91/30 was then put back into production.

They are fun to own and shoot. Here's mine:

Are they a gas piston or DI action?

Gas piston very similar to an SKS, but with more parts in the assembly and has an adjustable gas regulator.

The Germans liked them too. They used SVTs they captured.

Funny but I've never seen a photo of a WW2 German using a captured M1 rifle. They didn't seem to care for them but they did like to use captured M1 carbines.
