If I were to buy or swap for a P38 WWII pistol,could I get it into California through an FFL? I see the post war P-1 is on the list,but not the P38,so can I import it as a C&R,or just get over the WWIIiness of it all,and get a P-1?

I believe c&r pistols are exempt from the list, someone else can confirm thissigpic -
If the P38 is over 50 years old, it is exempt from the the "safety" roster. You will still need to transfer it through a FFL01 just like any other handgun.
