    Turk Mauser?

    Is the 1893/1933 Turk a large ring or a small ring.The general rule is 98 and above but are the turks different?

        How come it looks bigger then my other mausers?Are they small ring long action?

          Are you sure it is an 1893 model, and not a 1903 Turk? 1903s are German made, and a large ring action that have small ring threads. They are essentially standard length on the outside, but have an intermediate length bolt. Very similar to the 1909 Peruvian Mausers.

              My 1893 has a notch in the rear side of the front receiver ring. That came in the 1930s rebuild when they were converted from the original Cartridge to the 8MM Mauser that was longer.
