Just got my mags, now what's the manufacturer?

I just received my USGI M1 Carbine mags from Numrich, and they look great. I peeled off the cosmoline-soaked wrapper and checked for manufacturer codes. One of them has the Underwood "U," and the other one has what looks like a "KSG." I know that "SG" is the Saginaw code, but what is the "K"?? I have no doubt that they are both USGI, but I'm curious as to what the "KSG" code means.

BTW. I'm in Missouri right now, and plan to sell these mags when I move back to Kali.

Don't bother selling them - just disassemble them and keep 'em as parts for when you go out of state again.

Should the AWB get reauthorized, you'll be quite glad that you had mags before the federal ban...

For that matter, you may want to consider stocking up on mag parts while you're over there. Take a pic of them all assembled before you start breaking them down for CA storage. Back during the previous ban, a dated pic of your weapon in pre-ban configuration was useful.

Given that you're in CA, you may even want to go so far as to take a before-breakdown and post-breakdown pic, then have a notary sign a statement that they were all assembled on of date X, and disassembled as of date Y. That should keep you out of CA hot water, as well as serving to prove that you owned the mags, assembled, before the new ban.
