      Wow -- M1s in zip-tie lockdown mode!
Seriously, how great is it that these things will soon be in the hands of poeple who will care for and preserve them?

What is the difference in quality of the different types of bolts and how can you tell which is what?

Flat bolts are more rare. Never heard any real reason why one was better or worse than the other.

My guess is flat bolt is early type. and the round in a late type. The flat has an extra machining process which equals higher cost. Possibly that cost was removed to cut money or time off the production...

I believe the round bolt was introduced with the M2 carbine due to the high rate of fire in full auto mode.
