Just gor my C&R applacation returned

Hello all, I sent my C&R last week and just got it back in the mail. The envelope says refused, return to sender. I sent it to the adress on the application

    ATF
    PO Box 845219
    Dallas TX 75284-5219

Is all this correct? The only error I can think of is mailing it to: ATF and not The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

    Thanks for your help, Sammy

That is the old address by a few years. They used to be mailed to Texas where they would remove the checks for deposit and then the applications were forwarded to Atlanta. Now you're just supposed to mail them to Atlanta in the first place.

Let me look for the address.

I was just thinking, how old is your application? If your application still has the old address on it then you might need to get a new application. They have changed a couple of other things on it besides the mailing address.

    --- EDIT ---

OK, here's the current address for mailing your C&R FFL application...

    BATFE
    P.O. Box 409567
    Atlanta, GA 30384-9567

But the correct address is printed on the back of the current forms. If you downloaded yours from one of the C&R web sites then you have the old version. You need to call the ATF National Licensing Center or send a request on the ATF web site and they will mail you the latest application. Here's a link to the page where you can order what you need...

You can also call the phone number listed on that page. You'll want to order F7CR (5310.16) - Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms
