    Ade's and Ammo: 7.5 Swiss (GP11) and Surplus .303

I and many others are usually salivating over something or another when we are in Ade's shop. Well today I swung buy to buy a spotting scope and asked him about ammo. These are his prices:

    100 rounds box bulk .303: $25
    60 rounds brick of GP11: $27

Guys, if your wondering that's cheap, go to any gun show and you'll find out. I bought some .303 and will probably pick up some more. If I didn't have two cases of GP-11 already I'd buy them from him. So if you've been desperately looking for GP-11 or .303 Ade's the place to be. Matter of fact you won't find GP-11 cheaper any other place on earth as of today, heck to even find any period.

I believe it's the same .303 surplus SG sells:

1940's to 1950's production, mixed British manufacturer firepower. Berdan-primed, non-reloadable, corrosive, 174 grain, full metal jacket bullet, brass-cased. Muzzle Velocity: 2,400 F.P.S. Muzzle Energy: 2,224 ft.-lbs.
          Expect some click/bangs.

I don't know why he's selling it so cheap? After shipping fees, he's only making a couple of bucks. Almost not worth the hassle. But that's why he's one of the best in the business.

Someone needs to ping me when there's surplus GP-90 5,56 laying around. I am very partial to that ammunition.

I will trade a new, sealed, and unopened 480-round case of GP-11 for a comparable amount of GP-90.

                  A word of caution...

The steel jackets of GP11 will attract magnets. You won't be able to shoot it at places like Angeles Shooting Ranges for the fear that it will cause sparks and burn down all of Southern California.

It's my understanding that the range officers there carry magnets to check ammo. Not 100% sure, but I'm sure someone else will chime in.

That is correct. I've been sent home a while back when the rangeofficer walked by with a magnet and he checked my ammo.

Ya, I even asked a range officer, "well how about when its raining"--he looked a little confused then just said no!

I think ade's get this ammo from here. As long as you don't live in certain counties in Cali you should be able to have it shipped to you:
Ammunition cannot be shipped to Sacramento, California; Marin, Napa, Ventura and Yolo counties in California

I like this catalog group myself, for you Nefarious, they have some 1919a4 stuff that you might want to check out. I post those in the group buy.
