    CZ 52 feed problems

I got some new mags from keepshooting.com and they're supposed to work really well. I take them to the range today and they simply don't feed at all. So I took the spring and base out and put them in my old mag well and that fed one round and the slide got stuck chambering the next round. I took the new mags apart and I think there needs to be some filing done on the feed lips. But the slide getting stuck with the original mag body? Need less to say it was a dissappointing day at the range with that gun. The slide got stuck the last time I was at the range as well. Thoughts? I took the slide the barrel out and looked at the slide where the feed ramp is right under the firing pin and it looked like it had been smashed a little. any ideas?

Save some time and frustration and get some surplus mags. They are not the best, but I have 6 and all of them work.

update: All it took was a little filing of the tops of the feed lips on the mags and I took out the firing pin of my gun and cycled some rounds through it after the filing and it seems to work just fine now. I guess the real test will be when I take it to the range again.

A tip: check the angle of the legs on the followers too.

Make a 9 round mag: disassemble the mag, hold it upside down, drop in 9 rounds, drop in the follower, mark the legs, remove from mag and trim off excess from legs with dremel cutoff wheel. reassemble Magazine, have fun.

I have personally done this mod and had no problems at all, You only remove under a quarter inch from the legs. don't leave it loaded with 9 in it, the factory springs are really good but, you never know.
