    C&R Roster Question

A seller in AZ has a pistol for sale, it qualifies as a C&R. Are C&R roster exempt and do I need to do anything in order to purchase it as a C&R? I do not have a C&R license, would I need to have one?

A C&R pistol goes to your local 01 FFL . Then you do the DROS and the 10 day wait. Only long guns can transfer in with a C&R.
    C&R's are 'roster exempt'.

Ok, so it sounds like a C&R pistol is exempt from the Roster. What is an 01 FFL?

That is a regular firearms dealer. Some dealer's will transfer and some won't. Shop around for best price and friendly dealers.

C&R pistols are exempt from the drop list roster, but are not exempt from the DROS and wait. Wish I had a $1 for every time I hear the question.

The 50+ year old firearm must be shipped to a California Title 1 FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer to be DROS like a regular gun. Then you have to wait ten days. Title 3 FFL is C&R. I brought in a 1955 S&W Highway Patrolman (verified through the serial number) from Kentucky this way using the valuable information I learned from calguns.

            Fixed.
