    Enfield No 5

I was in Bain & Davis a few days ago and they had a MILTECH restored No 5 Enfield. I like the Enfield actions and would have liked to have it. But cash is short right now.

Appears to have been refinished in a black parkerizing. I could see export marks on the barrel and receiver ring.

    Any comments on MILTECH restorations?

Not specifically on those 'restorations' but it's value has been dinged by it I'd guess. what were they asking?

Ugh. Overpriced IMHO. Miltech looks pretty, but their stuff is overpriced and has next to zero collector interest.
I would think you could find an honest No. 5 on Gun Broker, with not import marks for about $550.

          I agree.
          Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

I'll add my comment also, stay away from the Miltech, you can do much better searching Gunbroker for an original.
