    Hatfield

    Just wondering if anyone knew anything about Hatfield rifles?
    I have an unfired 50 cal. Hatfield rifle, and it is a sweet long rifle.

    Just looking for some back ground.

      Is that related to the whole " Hatfield n McCoy's" thing..??? Is it the same Hatfield..??

          No.

          The Hatfield company made BP long rifles, and I think they are no longer around.

              The guy who started the company in 1979 was a great-great grandson of the Moses Hatfield who was the head of the clan that feuded with the McCoys. Moses Hatfield was also a gunmaker.

                  Ahhh....so it is the same name. Thought it might be. I went to highschool with a decendent of the Hatfields....
