M91, not a 91/30 for $75? Sounds like a great deal, maybe I can get off work and check it out.

Saw the ad yesterday, it's for the M91/30's that they typically have on sale for $89. I have never seen a M91 at Big5. Still a pretty good price considering you might be able to find an ex-Dragoon or ex sniper.

Hehe, yeah they are m91/30's not m91's...I just didn't want to make the title super long. 75 plus 25 dros (I think they charge) so its like 100 bucks plus tax.

Some of the Big 5's in my area are making you buy their gun lock along with the firearm purchase... Probably a good idea, but that adds another $15. Total will be around $125 OTD, which is still a good buy for these historic old rifles.

Here in Northern California I can see the bubbas lining up outside the door just waiting to do their evil business. I think I need to go rescue, or "liberate" a couple of 91/30's before Cletus can get his hands on them.

I just picked one up tonight.

I noticed that some of them have gold bands around them and some have black ones, does anyone know what the difference is?

The supply of 24/47's seems to be dwindling, Big 5 hasn't gotten new ones for a while, at least not new ones where I am. I did manage to liberate a 91/30, and a virtually pristine bored 1945 dated M44. The last ones they had. I'm getting worried. My local Big 5 no longer has No.4 Enfields or Yugo Mausers. And I love Yugo Mausers.

I just got a beautiful M38 last weekend. I have an 03 and COE. You get to just walk out with the gun but you still have to pay dros. I did the math and it cost me about 5 dollars more to buy it at big five than online but I got to hand pick the one I wanted.

Crap.... I did not need to read this. Now I have to go buy another Nagant.

Oh well, wanted to buy a 10/22 anyway, get both.

I have noticed a big drop in the quality of the nagants over the last year. Hard to find one that has not been counterbored, even fewer numbers matching.

Lucked out and snagged a 1938 Tula M38 that looked damn near unfired last time I bought one. Of course it was in the last box I opened. The manager at the store I frequent is very cool to deal with and will drag out the whole inventory to let me cherry pick the best ones.

Also found out the Big 5s in other states carry SKS rifles. It is legal for them to sell em in Ca but company policy forbids it. People who work there can order them for themselves tho.
