    M1 Carbines from CMP

If anyone misses out on a M1 Carbine from CMP, you will have no one to blame but yourself!

There are a few new pics that where posted on the CMP site. Here is one showing the stock pile of them on hand...whoo hoo!

It's amazing how people are getting worked up over these M1 Carbines. A couple friends of mine have rifles on order right now and it's taking forever to process because of the recent 22 sales and all the people slamming the CMP phones and email about paperwork.

Anyway, those pics are interesting. Orest Michaels of the CMP insinuated that the supply of M1 Carbines may actually last up to the CMP Western Games this year, and if it did, they would bring some on the truck. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

The CMP is going to make me poor for the month of March... Longer if they still have stock in April.

No ones knows price yet, but I have seen estimates in the $400 and up range depending on quality. Pure speculation though so I would not pay it any credence until CMP actually lists a price.

All we know is that there are more than 10,000 but less than 99,999
from the little info Orest has posted on the qty.

Also, he did say it was closer to the lower number than the top number.

Rumor is 32k carbines. Orest thought they would last a year or more, I doubt it with all of the pent up demand. Unless he starts prices at $600 or higher; that might slow some of the demand.
I'll be ordering one almost no matter what the cost; I'm still confident that they will be under current market prices.
I'm in the process of looking for 10 round mags for a rifle I do not own.

Can someone help me prepare for this.

I joined the Garand collectors association.

What else should I do and how do i proceed once the m1 carbines are for sale.

                  THanks,
