It's around, just not all shops carry it.

There is a store in Mountain View called The Bay Area Gun Vault and he has .303 there as I bought some, it's new production too.

Look for the Seller and Bellot stuff on the various online sights. It can be had in the $14-16 range most of the time.

The awesome Greek surplus has all dried up. You may run across some Pakistani POF surplus but much of that is click......bang, hang fires. If you find any real British surplus that is using Cordite, just remember that it is errosive along with corrosive. It burns real hot and actually errodes the throat on the barrel. For the most part, I'm afraid we are relegated to buying commercial ammo or taking up reloading.

Midway has several loads of Prvi Partizan for about $15 a box - good stuff, I do pretty good groupings with it.

Otherwise, looks like your most viable option is to join the .303 Brit reloading club.

Get hold of some of the Century Arms Hotshot brand.

            Good stuff.

Century, Aim Surplus or Ammunition to Go are your best mail order bets.
Haven't seen any local. I have had good luck in the private sales forums,

With regards to reloading the brass, how much useage can you get from it before you have to toss the casings out?

I've done 3-4 reloadings on .303 brass. Will see how they continue to hold up! I'll use until the neck splits or other such failure.

Thanks, I bought a French MAS 49/56 and the guy I bought it from gave me all the reloading stuff, so eventually I want to learn how to do it since I have some of the supplies to start, will prove useful for the oddball calibers.

With my milsurp brass, I didn;t keep it because I was not sure itcould still e reloaded. The bottom half inch or so of the case seemed to be at a slightly different angle than the rest of the case after firing, which was not the case before firing. Maybe that's just normal, I really don't know.

With commercial, Wolf Gold/Prvi Partizan (same stuff, comes under a couple of other names, too), Sellier and Bellot, etc. are good. Usually less than $20 a box, and before prices spiked you could get some very good prices, sometimes close to $10 a box if you looked hard enough. Hopefully the prices will drop again soon. Right now I've got about 3,000 rounds of the Pakistani stuff.

I have some ww2 vintage winchester ammo (lend lease, we made guns and ammo for the brits), some real brit ammo with cordite, some turkish, and some wwb that was floating around a few years back.

I thought the key to reloading .303 was to only resize the neck to keep from overworking the brass? If you have more than 1 .303 rifle, keep the brass separate for each rifle and do not full length resize it. Enfields have oversized chambers and if you work the brass too much, you'll make it brittle and reduce it's reloading life.
