    Help with K98 rear site

Anyone know a good site with step by step instructions how to properly adjust a Mauser K98 rear site. My Rifle is shooting center and to the right and I can't find any info to help me. thanks

The rear sight is not adjustable for windage. Adjust the front sight blade for windage with a sight pusher http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1...T_SIGHT_PUSHER

If your rifle is shooting to the right, drift the front sight blade to the right (when viewed from the rear of the rifle).

    Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

I was told I needed to adjust the rear site by "tapping" it gently. What is the correct way to sight in a K98? or any rifle where there is no windage adjustment? I appreciate the link, but I don't wanna spend $60 on a new tool you know?

Whoever told you that is incorrect. As I said, windage adjustment is made with the front sight blade, the rear sight is not adjustable for windage. If you don't want to buy the tool see if you can rent it from a gunsmith, or use "Kentucky windage" and aim to the left of center.

Here's an Israeli tool for Mauser front sight adjustment

Nice tool! I`ve got to get me one of those. No tool, sounds like brass punch and hammer time.
