    got my cmp m1 carbines

I recieved my cmp m1 carbines. It took 1 month. I got 4 rack grade guns and all 4 were way better than I expected. No rust on any of the guns. The stocks were dinged up a little bit, but all the metal was really nice. Thought I would let you guys know.

Nice, Hawk81, congratulations! I just finished my last paperwork requirement and my forms are in the mail tomorrow for my 2 M1 Garands.

Let me know if you fund any good deals on M1 carbine ammo. The best I've seen so far has been Aim Surplus.

    Have fun with them!

And just to add the cherry on the cake, approximately how long did it take for you to fulfill the requirements to order from CMP? It's just for people to see how easy it is to order from them. I just sent in all my paperwork and it took like....1 hour and $12 to be eligible. It's why we were all pushing for people to not pay for garbage Garands from places like Big 5 when you could save 200-300 bucks by waiting an extra 20 days.

I received my M1 Carbine back in August. It is a Service Grade Sagina SG. It is great looking rifle.

Congrats. Now all we need is some pics and a range report.

No pictures, due to my digital camera being broken. The hardest part for me in getting the rifles from the cmp, was joining a cmp affiliated range. I do have to admit they require a few things to buy from them, but it is not to difficult. There rifles are worth the trouble. Hell, I bought an M1 carbine from aim surplus for $740, the rifles I got from cmp cost $419 (2 inland), $479 (1 underwood), $479 (2 national postal meter). The CMP rifles were in as good a shape as aims rifle. I would suggest to anyone that wants one to get them while they last.

The only carbine ammo I have been able to find is from aim surplus. The aguilla stuff. I guess I'll have to start reloading for it. Time to get some M1 carbine dies.
