Does anyone know a good forum for Rashids and Hakims....?

Help.... I have 2 issues (questions).

1. My ammo is getting stuck .... it randomly gets "stuck" with a case sticking half way in the chamber.....when I pull the round out its "bent"....? I'm using Romanian ammo (red little band)....

2. Also...anyone else recommend any other ammo....? I've been told Olympic 180gr is good... its not considered a hot load....?

open the gas port and give it a little clean and adjustment, it might not be cycling right

The Romanian stuff I shoot does the exact same thing, it's a difference in powder and how much push to eject and load the next round. It happens with all my Hakims with the Romo stuff. The Yugo stuff just doesn't go bang LOL. I haven't tried any other stuff yet than those two, I'm sure I will in the next few months.

Make sure you're really cleaning your gas tube, I use GunScrubber and a small pipe cleaner, or try turning it the the next value.

i'm just throwing this out. maybe those ammo are ment for machine gun and not rifle? i heard something about that a while back- but i could be wrong.

i would think ammo for machine gun would be a lot hotter than rifle. metal expand when it hot , and in case of machine gun. they do get very hot. so these ammo fit into chamber nicely and would have the extra few thousand of an inch clearance for the brass/ shell to expand. but the expansion of machine gun/ parts are just enough that it work well together with the ammo use.

I think the brass get stuck half way out or wouldn't come out is because of the ammo that are ment for machine gun.

jsut my 2Cent and i don't know if i explain it very well. but it soudn good to me. any thought?

Romanian 1950's brass case and 1970's steelcase works fine in my Hakim. No issues sticking.

What are the county and factory codes on the cartridge?

Where can I get 1950 brass cased.... does the bullet stick to the magnet...? Has anyone else used that Olympic 180gr....? A great fellow Calgunner recommends it..... he's been using it on a Hakim.... its not a hot load....?

Just a note, I had a guy Chrono my Hakim with the Romo stuff, averaged out at 2559 out of 8 cycled. That doesn't sound hot.

That's me, and yep... I've been shooting the Olympic from Turner's for a while now. If it's too hot for the Hakim, it's the first I've ever heard of it. Using the gas port adjustment, there's actually a point where the Hakim won't cycle it, if I set it too far over.
