backup 7 years or so when i was snapping up k31's for $80 a piece the bayonets were scarcer than hens teeth. today i got a sportsmans guide cataloge and saw them for $100. i then went online and it looks like there are a ton of them all over the place now, what happened. did someone find a stash?

Wow, a stash must have been discovered! Last year they were going for $150 or something crazy on ebay. Now I looked and some online retailers selling them for $70! I heard the GP11 ammo comes in bunches too. -

i've been collecting bayonets longer than i've been collecting guns. I got my first swiss bayonets a few years back and they were less than now. the pioneer big ol' sawback ones in particular are almost twice as much as they were when i got mine in 2005.

never find a good deal for those sawbacks. There is one jerkface at the gunshow always wants $400+ for it, and he doesn't haggle. I'm pretty sure his booth is just for looks.

FGS has a sawback for $295....I just bought a #'s matching K11 with a #'s matching sawback from them and was thrilled with the condition!
Also, J&G is discounting all of their Swiss rifles $100 for a Thanksgiving Sale:
I picked up my walnut K31 w/ #'s matching bayonet from them (before sale
) and was really happy with it...it came with a sling, Swiss cleaning kit, and troop tag...thinking of picking up a beech one now!

If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

I was buying K31 bayonets off of the Europe Ebay several years ago for $35 each which told me that they were pretty common there. Someone finally got around to chasing them down and bringing a large quantity here.Comment
