    Exception for C&R High-Cap Magazines?

I remember hearing before that there is an exception to the high-capacity magazine ban for C&R magazines or magazines for C&R firearms. Is this true?

Nope, there is no such exemption.

I'm afraid not. However, the same rules as to rebuild kits do apply. So, for example, if you have a C&R weapon for which factory 10-rounders were never made, you could always find someone willing to sell you rebuild kits and then neuter them yourself. Although, if I were you, I'd only butcher one or two of them and stash the rest as kits. You never know when you might move out of state .

nope, there is no C&R exemption to the large-capacity magazine ban or the AW ban either. There is, however, a C&R exmeption to the .50BMG rifle ban, so you might be able to get one of those rebarrelled Boys Rifles

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

If you had for example, 30 round mags before the ban, say M1 carbine, i can use those mags. , correct? Or go feature-less on an AK or AR.

So if I had 30 round AK and AR mags before the ban, but not the rifles to go with them...could I use those 30 rounders on new CA compliant AK/AR's?

                    yes and no.

Yes, you can use them on new CA-compliant "featureless" AK/ARs with a standard magazine release.

No, you can't use then on new CA-compliant "mag-locked" AK/ARs.
