    Garand sight question

When you move a Garand's sights 1 click, what is the resulting change in POI (point of impact) at 100 yards? It's about 1 inch, right?

I know, bonehead question, but I'm busting mine out this weekend for a club match, and it's been so long, I've forgotten. Thanks.

I'm a new Garand owner, and haven't even taken it out to shoot yet. Is there a mark on the Garand sights that is basically set for 100 yards?

How about for an M1 Carbine?

The sights are adjustable so the markings may or may not be set correctly. The only way to know is to go out and shoot it, then set them yourself.

Fulton Armory has an M1 zeroing guide.

As far as the M1 carbine...it is the same process.

No, there is no marking. Wind the sight down to its lowest point and move it up 11 clicks. That will put it 2 1/4 in high at 100 yds and on target at 225 with M2 Ball.
