need some help for mauser accesories

i need a couple of those set screws for the bottom of the rifle. i also need a bayonet and sling. i guess i wouldnt mind a repo, but itd rather have a nice original. same for a sling too.


anyone know where to find them?

although, it should be said, i bought one of their "machine gunner bayonets" just for fun, and the qual was pretty bad.

i got an SMLE and a Berthier sling, though, and those at least were fine. So try to get "original" when you can, the repro stuff is probably more miss than hit.

i havent been having much success with gunbroker. lots lof rip-offs on there. specially with jap parts...


can anyone tell me though how many set screws the rifles take? it looks like i can use four, but was guessing only 2. juat wondering for accuracy

2 locking screws, often called "capture screws" for some reason.

If you only want to get the set screws for accuracy than don't even bother. Your accuracy isn't affected one bit by those 2 little screws. If accuracy is what you are after you would be better off spending the few bucks on a couple more boxes of ammo.
