    New Mauser, Bayo question.

    Just recieved another 24/47 today.

My question is about the bayonets. The top is dated on the scabbord 1937 and has bakelite grips. The lower one has no date. Anyone know when this one was made? Maybe the value of each? TIA

the bottom one looks kinda reproduction-y. sure its original?

The top bayonet looks like it's for the Kar98k, not the 24/47. But if that's true I think the grips are a replacement because I think the original Kar98k bayonets had wood handles.
The bottom bayonet is probably a reproduction if it doesn't have the factory and year stamps.

top one looks correct. bakelite grips are correct for german k98 bayos. if matching sheath and not messed with..around $150. if not matching sheath and/or sharpended, etc...around $75.

bottom one looks like a post war yugo bayo for the m48. does it have 'prezeduce 44' or something like that on it?
        if yugo about $40.

The top bayo has the marking "EPACK & S. 1937" on the sheath. The bayo is marked "3688a" on one side and "41agv" on the other. I see no yugo or german markings.

The wood handled does have the yugo type for prejustic 44 (NPE4Y3?he) 44.

i'd say the mismatched german is about $70 and the yugo about $35....no frogs
