swedish carbine ?

i just found a really nice swedish carbine and the end of the barrel has a little rust from sitting inside a leather calvary pouch. the case looks as old as the rifle and fits the rifle nice. i was curious if anyone knows if they used these in a calvary unit. i was confused on the bayo lug aspect of being calvary or not. it looks like this one but nicer.

Those Swede's are some really nice rifles, the M94 is a compact good looking weapon, easy to use and was used by Calvary Troopers. Let us know how she shoots and post some pictures then get Crown Jewels by Dana Jones.

if you have a '94 swede carbine, clean it up and hang on to it. shoot it, you'll be surprised, and very happy, they're accurate. swede carbines used to be dime a dozen but are hard to come by these days because nobody's selling them. they're very handy, very accurate, and will kill most anything you point them at. i love swede mausers. it'd be a mistake to get rid of it, unless you wanted to sell it to me for cheap, lol.

i put money down on it along with a few others and it will be home with me in a few weeks. i would like to see an original scabbard because i believe this one may have been with gun originally.

re that and some other carbines i've seen which've had that snub nose, that means its cavalry?

i've seen a few gewehr98s and french m16s that had that and was curious.

I've got 2. One of the smoothest bolt actions you will ever shoot. She is built like a tank, handy, light, and the 6.5 is a nice flat shooting cartridge.
