Need help ID pistol

I was just given a gun that was wifes greatgrandfather. It is a Colt SAA 41 long colt. I want to ID this pistol to find out manufacturing date and go from there. Does anyone have a link or know how to ID this pistol. I am super excited about getting this thing, it is in great condition and just needs a bit of TLC. Its means alot to me to be given this gun and it has already won a place in my heart.
