    need some arisaka pictures

    i need some pictures of jap arisakas. i need both type 38 and type 99. i am doing a little restoration on some of these and want to keep everything looking right. i will also need to re-finish the stock on the type 38 so i need to know what color they were originally

            IIRC it was a kind of sumac or Ivy oil , I do remember that it was thought to be similar to "poison sumac". These guys should be able to help you out

              Urushii, Japanese Black Lacquer mixed with iron dust. extremely toxic to handle in liquid form.
