That first picture almost makes me miss my tool and die days (but they sucked too much)... Progressive dies were so cool. For those who don't know, that's what the first image is, they stopped the press, which had a progressive die in it to make clips, and took the partly-finished parts out, showing every step. Really fun stuff. The last step would have been to cut the now-finished clips free. I can't remember what that thing is called - the parts half-done like that, I know there was a name for it. The center hole would have been used to align the sheet in each different stage of the die.

I absolutely love seeing the manufacturer lists of WWII materiel. It's so wierd, who was making this stuff.

I like the list of mfg codes. Do you know if they are they the same for the carbine magazines?
