    Green crud

What is a good way to stop the green crud on brass?
I wash them in hot soapy water with a chamber brush, but still get the crud on the necks of the cases.

brasso it and store it in a drier place. In the future, dry it off in the oven at 250 degrees for 20-30 minutes immediately after washing and rinsing

Some one can correct me but I thought Brasso was a bad idea. If I remember correctly it tends to make the brass brittle.

You don't need Brasso. Just make sure they're dry. Store them in a sealed box/bag/can with silica gel packets in there.

Insert in chamber, point downrange, and pull trigger.

7.62x54? If so, I'd recommend sending it my way.

I realize every community has citizens that end up with ammo they have no idea what to do with. I wrote up a great ad, got ready to push the button on craigslist.com, went to another computer and looked up the terms of service.
I deleted the ad and got depressed, knowing all that ammo is just sitting there, turning green with envy because it can't be fired like the rest of the good ammo.

Sorry it is not the russan 54r, it is very for the very old 43mauser.

And thus is not loaded. It is once fired new cases. Just some got the green crud.
They are stored dry, just washed out and dried out before puting up.
Guess I should also put them through the cleaner before puting up.
Need a mold for the lead so I can reload them.

And they have a very good home right here.
But if any have some boxer 7.62X45 I have a good place for them. :-)
