    Wheres My C&r License!

I complete and submitted my form in early October and my check was billed on Oct. 10. and its about to hit 3 months soon.

Is there any phone number or way to contact ATF about my license and why it is taking so long?

    Thank you
    Shawn

That's pretty unusual - I'm on my 3rd & it never took longer than 3 weeks or so.

ATF licensing center # is 866.662.2750, fax is 866.257.2749.

Maybe you can check on www.atf.gov

Definately give them a call. I mailed mine out in April, CC charged 1 week later, and didn't get it until December!!
The problem: they lost the hard copy of my application and didn't bother to followup with me. Inspite of having all the data in the computer, they will not issue the license without a signed copy of the application.

I called them several times and got the typical "The system shows it processing" then I got a full voice mail box from the person handling the West Coast. I called again in November and finally got someone responsive, the new rep for the west coast. I was able to fax a set of forms in and 2 weeks later I got my C&R.

Judging by other people's posts, my experience was not the norm but it doesn't hurt to call after 6 weeks just to make sure. Be sure to talk to the California rep. You have to go through one layer to get there but the new guy is very responsive. His name is on a piece of paper at the office so I'm no help there...

      Best of Luck.

        Wheres my License?
It's been 2 days already, still nothing

I hope it's not gonna take that long, I'll follow up after a few months for sure.
        good luck

Funny, I sent out a change of address a while back, and it was somehow lost.

The ATF called me yesterday, and since I was on a concall and couldn't answer, she even left me a message with the # to her desk, to ask why they'd just gotten returned mail from my old addy. For a government beauracracy, I was very impressed.

They were actually quite helpful and friendly in resolving the situation.

My application is sitting in my mail box right now. I can't wait to get my license.

It took about 5 weeks to get my C&R. Sounds like something went wrong with the application if you ordered it 3 months ago.

It took 60 days, three years ago. After six weeks of waiting I called ATF and asked for the status. A very nice lady (forgot her name) told me she will look for my application. Two days later I was surprised to receive a phone call from her confirming everything is taken care of and I will get my permit soon. A week later I got it in the mail.
You should call too, ask for the person in charge for CA.
