ATF cashed my check...did I win? :-)

Just wondering if ATF charging me $30 means I should start checking my mail box or if that's what I pay just to submit the app? Thanks.

It could just mean they just cashed your check. Probably goes to a processing center where tey just simply move the checks to one bin and the apps to another bin.

That's exactly what it means. The cashing of the check just means that the Post Office didn't lose your application. After the check is cashed your application goes onto somebody's desk to wait its turn for processing.

When I originally got mine in 2004, they cashed my check within a week of mailing it...3 months later, I got my C&R. It varies I guess, I have heard of people getting them in little as 3 weeks. My renewal only took 3 weeks to get.

It usually takes 4-8 weeks after they cash your non-refundable check. This should give you enough time to go out and buy two big safes,which you will need.

I received my license about two weeks after they cashed my check. The wait was about a month in total.

they cashed mine 2 weeks ago so I'm hoping it comes within the next week like some people had happen to them.
